I slayed the devil

One day I woke up and I intuitively knew that to make progress on my personal evolutionary journey especially as it pertains to my spirituality I knew I had to completely rid myself of the notion of the devil, so once and for all I slayed the devil never to resurface or be resuscitated ever again! and l am the better for it. By ridding my life of this monstrous notion my struggles eased I became happier all of my energy was now concentrated on things that served my purpose.

Albeit this decision took a split of a nanosecond to reach. I had however invested countless hours of work; on a mental level hence there was no confusion when I reached the metaphorical fork in the road.

If you will put in the work you will soon arrive at the same conclusion as I have and as several before me and as known by mystics of all traditions that the devil exist only in the mind of man.

I understand and see why the devil is such a convenient bad guy to dump all your failures and woes on. It is far easier to blame another for our failures than accept responsibility for them— is it not?

Please don’t get me wrong I am no Pollyanna I recognize that there is evil in the world perpetrated solely by mankind.  What I however do not agree with is a devil personality that equals god and differs only from this god in its inability to give salvation.

The devil doesn’t exist, man is his own devil—- kosi esu ni ibi kan eyan l’esu ara e

the devil exist only in your mind

If, you find what you have read thus far unbelievably sacrilegious. STOP! Do not read any further as we say in my local parlance (just waka pass).  You may leave comments only if you will BNBR about it.

Now for those who are still reading because for some reason you just always had doubts and find the devil character too hideous to be true.  Let me let you in on a secret  If you have been experiencing a reoccurring ugly theme in your life trust me it isn’t the devil instead check yourself  more often than not it is merely your shadow side wanting some attention —in short face your demons

It is amazing how tightly people hold to stuff that no longer serves any purpose and how threateningly defensive and aggressive they become when their established beliefs are challenged . phew!

And for all the karo o jire folks out there please note esu a deity as per the literary corpus of our ancestors (odu ifa) is not the devil. Here is Wole Soyinka a true son of ogun whom I have high regard for elaborating on esu.

Folks please get some education and put an end to rabid ignorance
